Translate a Wix site

What you need

A published Wix site with a connected domain. Wix's own instructions start there, and connecting a domain needs a paid Wix plan.
A Studio site needs a Studio plan; Premium plans are for sites built in the Wix Editor.

Where the snippet goes

Copy your snippet

Open your site in the Verbafy dashboard and copy the embed snippet.

Open the Custom Code panel

From your site's dashboard, open Settings, then Custom Code under Development & integrations.
Add the snippet

Click the add button, paste the snippet into the box and give it a name you will recognise, such as Verbafy. Set it to load on All pages, place it at the end of body, and click Apply.

Check it is working

Open your live site, not the editor preview. Custom code runs on the published site.
The switcher is in the bottom right corner. Switch language and the page follows.

Snippets belong to the domain

Wix ties code snippets to the domain they were added under. Point the site at a different domain and the snippets go with the old one, so add it again after a domain change.

Widgets and galleries are covered

A Wix page is assembled from widgets that render their text in the browser. The widget watches the page, so widget text is translated as it arrives rather than being missed.
