A word is one word translated into one language, counted once. A 500 word page in 3 languages uses 1,500 words of your monthly allowance.
What counts: new text, the first time we translate it into each language.
What does not count: a page being viewed again, however many times; the same sentence appearing on another page of your site, because we translate it once and reuse it; any wording you edit yourself in the dashboard; and text you have already translated in an earlier month.
In practice you spend most of your allowance in the first month, when your site is translated for the first time. After that you only spend it on what you add or change.
Your allowance resets on the first day of each billing month. It does not roll over.

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time, in one click. When you upgrade, you get the new limits immediately. When you downgrade, your current plan runs until the end of the billing period.
