Translate a Squarespace site

Squarespace calls it Code Injection. The footer field goes in before the closing body tag on every page of the site, which is exactly where the snippet belongs.

What you need

Where the snippet goes

  1. Copy your snippet

Open your site in the Verbafy dashboard and copy the embed snippet.

    Your page, before </body>
    <script
      src="https://cdn.verbafy.app/widget.js"
      data-site-id="site_abc123"
      data-api-key="pk_live_your_key"
    ></script>
  2. Open Code Injection

In your site dashboard, open Website, then Website Tools, then Code Injection. Some accounts still reach the same panel through Settings, then Advanced, then Code Injection.

  3. Paste it in the Footer field

Paste the snippet into Footer and click Save. Squarespace injects that field before the closing </body> tag on every page of the site.

Worth knowing on Squarespace

Look at the live site, not the editor

Injected code does not run inside the Squarespace editor. Open the site itself, or a private window, to see the switcher.

Lazy-loaded sections are picked up

Squarespace reveals a good deal of a page as you scroll. The widget keeps watching, so a section that appears late is translated when it appears.
